Trump indicates Stephen Miran to Fed Board

Main economic counselor of the president will occupy a vacancy left by Adriana Kugler, who renounced the position

United States President Stephen Miran was appointed to occupy a position on the Fed (Federal Reserve) board. The appointment was announced on Thursday (7.ago.2025), after the resignation of director Adriana Kugler, who will leave the position on Friday (8.ago).

The nomination was confirmed by Trump himself on his profile, after the agency Bloomberg anticipated the information. The former US Treasury employee should temporarily take the position if approved by the US Senate.

Currently White House’s main economist, Miran advises Trump on economic policies and presents these decisions to the public. During the 1st term of the Republican President, he was a senior economic policy advisor in the Treasury Department.

“Stephen is a doctor of economics from Harvard University and has acted with distinction in my first government. He has been with me since the beginning of my second term and his expertise in the economy world is incomparable.”said Trump.
