The Women’s Volleyball World Cup starts this Friday (22) and runs until September 7, in Thailand, while the male will take place between September 12 and 28, in Manila, in the Philippines. Format

This edition will have 32 selections, an increase in the number of participants compared to previous seasons. The teams will be distributed in eight groups of four teams, and only the top two in each group advance to the knockout phase.

In the female, Brazil is in Group C, along with France, Greece and Puerto Rico. Already in the male, the national team was in group H, alongside Serbia, Tchécia and China.

The women’s team is looking for an unprecedented title. The team has reached the final four times, but got the silver medal. In the last edition, held in the Netherlands and Poland in 2022, the Brazilian team lost the final to Serbia, current two -time champion of the tournament.
