Police officer killed after petrol station robbery in Germany with service weapon


Völklingen – In the Saarland Völklingen in Germany, a police officer was killed by shots from a service weapon on Thursday evening after a petrol station robbery. The alleged robber had snatched the weapon from the official and shot, as a police spokesman said. The 18-year-old perpetrator was also hit and arrested during the shot. The crime triggered great dismay. The German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt and the police union were shocked.
