Geneva/Jerusalem – Israel asked the authors of a report about a famine in parts of the Gaza Strip to withdraw it immediately. The General Director of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eden Bar Tal, called the report “fake”. He accused the IPC initiative (Integrated Food Security Phase Classification) of having brought about a politically motivated result through methodological violations.
