Mayor Revúca Július Bucht does not face charges for the March traffic accident, after which he inflated more than one per mille of alcohol. The prosecutor canceled the charge of an offense under the influence of an addictive substance in April. The mayor did not blow immediately after the accident, the case is still under investigation. This stems from the opinions provided by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Banská Bystrica.

Mayor of Revúca had a car accident on March 6 in the afternoon, with a car crashed into a fence of a family house. The mayor was accused of an offense under the influence of an addictive substance after detention, and was released from the police cell the next day. The accusation against Bucht was lifted on 16 April by a resolution of the supervising prosecutor of the District Prosecutor’s Office Rimavská Sobota on the basis of the mayor’s complaint. “The driver left the scene of the event and returned only after some time, as a result of which the breath tests with a positive result were not carried out immediately after the accident. In the framework of the pre -trial procedure, it is necessary to establish the level of influence of the driver by alcohol at the time of the driving of the motor vehicle, ”said Jakub Mikuda from the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Banská Bystrica.
