“The institution of a parliamentary front dedicated to the development of Brazilian navigation, encompassing water, maritime and river transport, as well as port and waterway infrastructure and correlate legislation is highly relevant and timely to concentrate parliamentary efforts for the improvement of a strategic sector for economic and social development and national integration.”he declared.
The bill was approved on a terminative basis by the Commission, which means it will not need to be voted in the Senate plenary to advance the process. In this modality, the decision of the committee already has the value of final deliberation of the house, accelerating the analysis of the text.
However, there is a possibility of contestation. After the publication of the result, senators have 5 business days to submit a resource that takes the proposal to the plenary. For this to be made, the request must be signed by at least 9 senators, the equivalent of one tenth of the total of the house.
