The crime occurred on March 22 of this year, on Rua Ferrer Trindade, in Fernão Ferro, Seixal.
Now, Bernardo Pereira’s neighbor, the murdered 24-year-old, was convicted by the Almada Court not of qualified homicide, of which he was accused, but of simple murder, without premeditation, a sentence that will result in 12 years in prison.
The 68-year-old killer did not resist the police on the day of the crime, after neighbors alerted him to 112, and was placed in pre-trial detention.
