Deputy questions secrecy in general’s monograph – 12/02/2024 – Panel

Federal deputy Ivan Valente (PSOL-SP) filed this Monday (2) in the Chamber a request for information from the Ministry of Defense about the fact that the Army had written in 2002 at the conclusion of a course at the School of Command and State- Greater Strength (Eceme).

Last Friday (29), the Sheet was at Eceme and, initially, the monograph was handed over to the reporter for consultation. About 10 minutes later, however, a librarian removed the monograph from the table, claiming that the material was confidential.

In his request, Ivan Valente wants to know why the Army “suddenly adopted access restrictions” to the monograph and demanded transparency.

Mario Fernandes is one of the central characters identified in a Federal Police investigation. He is suspected of having been responsible in 2022 for devising a plan to kill then-president-elect Lula (PT), vice Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) and STF (Supreme Federal Court) minister Alexandre de Moraes.
