The governor highlighted the importance of getting to know the state closely to evaluate the works. “I think he has to live more here in Acre. Walking more on the avenues, seeing the infrastructure works we are doing here in the state, housing units, agendas towards the new maternity, making the federal government that it is part of strengthening our borders with customs,” he said.
Camelí also stressed the paving of states and state roads, as well as improvements in various essential infrastructures. “What was the governor who did the most extensions and paved more state roads? It was Governor Gladson Camelí. What was the governor who improved all the infrastructures of our state? Gladson Camelí. Now if he is not in the state, I can do nothing. He has to stop traveling, I came to the state and really see what he did,” he added.
Closing his answer, the governor criticized the former senator’s position, stating that the criticism do not reflect the work done. “I just regret. Because while I receive the President of the Republic here with open arms, it comes if this citizen wants to reduce the work of others. I am sorry for him, who is below me.” The episode highlights the political tension between the two leaders and reinforces the investment and development debate in Acre.
