Russia has argued at the Security Council meeting that imposing sanctions again could have very unpleasant consequences and lead to escalation in the Middle East while China said Iran sent “positively positive signals” to Europeans and that the postponement of sanctions would leave a diplomacy open.
France, however, replied that Iran did not make any specific gestures and preferred to postpone everything, but assured that the imposition of sanctions does not mean the end of diplomatic efforts.
