The minister assumed the presidency of the Federal Supreme Court in his style, with a long, tedious and even careless speech. He mixed his commitment to press freedom and the “welfare of servers.”
Still, he said that he came with good news. For example: “Jurisdictional provision is not a spectacle. It requires containment.” Or: “I assume here a commitment of austere management in the use of public resources by the judiciary. The guideline will be austerity.” Outside the world of words and promises, Fachin rescued the tradition of, and canceled the pajelança with which lobbyists celebrate possessions.
