On the night of Friday (3/10), the journalist and former federal deputy Manuela D’Ávila had to resort to Instagram to clarify a situation, at least, unusual. She said she has been marked in posts and received a flood of messages from netizens outraged by “her decisions” about the direction of the soap opera “Vale Tudo”. The detail is that the work has no connection with D’Ávila, the author is the writer.
The public, outraged by the soap opera’s recent events, ended up precisely in D’Ávila’s messaging box. In the comments, followers complain about the unfolding of the story, directly questioning “the author” for the choices that have been moving the chapters. The confusion happens due to the coincidence of names: the responsible for the script is actually Manuela Dias, not the former deputy.

In a good mood, D’Ávila shared the confusion on her Instagram with a humorous post, bringing prints of markings and messages that have been receiving from the audience of the soap opera. “’Official statement about my decisions.’ There were so many messages that I decided to manifest myself,” wrote the journalist.
Despite the mistake, the situation yielded good laughs among followers and showed the intensity of the indignation of the public with the plot. The repercussion also reinforces how the soap operas continue to move the emotions of Brazilians to the point of transforming a coincidence of names into a true virtual misunderstanding.
