Brazil assumes presidency of global agreement on transparency – 10/12/2025 – Panel

Last week, Brazil assumed the global presidency of the Open Government Partnership, an agreement between several countries and civil society entities to increase transparency and accountability of government information and data.

Chief Minister of the General Comptroller of the Union, Vinicius de Carvalho represented Brazil at a summit meeting held in Spain between October 6th and 10th.

Brazil is one of the founders of the Partnership, launched in 2011 together with the USA. On that occasion, the agreement was celebrated during a meeting between then presidents Dilma Rousseff and Barack Obama.
