Taberna by Lucia Ribeiro opens new season of wine dinners in the Algarve

The Taberna by Lucia Ribeiro restaurant, in Faro, begins the third season of wine dinners on October 31st, consolidating the success of the two previous editions, which placed the event as one of the most anticipated on the Algarve’s gastronomic calendar.

The new program, planned even before summer, reflects, according to the chef, “the recognition gained from producers and customers”, making the cycle a regular milestone for wine and gastronomy lovers.

This edition kicks off with a partnership between Quinta da Vegia and Sanjoanne, in a dinner of six gastronomic moments, carefully harmonized with wines from both producers.

The menu presents proposals that combine tradition and creativity, with six carefully harmonized moments: Sanjoanne | Terroir Mineral, which combines shrimp, pumpkin, curry and parsley; Sanjoanne | Choose, with corvina, miso, bimi teriyaki and potato; Sanjoanne | Heritage, which combines quail, caramelized onion and coriander; Quinta da Vegia | Rosé, where chickens, grains and cockles stand out; Quinta da Vegia | Lot, which proposes Iberian prey with broad beans and egg yolk; and, to finish, Passi, a carob brownie dessert with milk ice cream and almond sand.

“One of the things that gives me the most pleasure in the kitchen is creating unique menus based on the wines we receive. It’s an intense creative exercise, which challenges and entertains me in equal measure — and which results in unrepeatable experiences at the table”, says chef Lucia Ribeiro.

The 3rd season program also includes dinners with Vieira de Sousa (November 22nd), Quinta do Vallado (December 12th), Rocim (January 9th), Quinta do Cebolal (February 6th), Quinta das Arcas (March 27th) and Quinta São Luiz – Kopke (April 17th).

With one wine dinner per month, Taberna by Lucia Ribeiro once again asserts itself as “a meeting place between excellent wines and signature cuisine”.

The price per person is 75 euros, drinks included, and reservations are limited and can be made via the website.
