Former state deputy Simão Pedro (PT) returned to Alesp (Legislative Assembly of ) as a parliamentary advisor after being determined by the TRE-SP (Regional Electoral Court of São Paulo).
He has been working at the 1st Secretariat of the Board of Directors, commanded by his party, since September 15 and said he is awaiting the outcome of appeals regarding his situation at the .
“I am advising deputy Maurici, our 1st secretary, while the higher courts of the Judiciary analyze our processes,” he told the Panel.
The deputy told the reporter that he had already served in the cabinet on other occasions. In his history in the Assembly, he has spent time in the 1st Secretariat in 2001 and between 2017 and 2022.
The 1st Secretariat is one of the most influential positions on the Board of Directors as it is responsible for the administrative part of Alesp, such as monitoring expenses. In addition, there are 33 positions available to the cabinet, which, through internal agreements, has been with the PT for more than 20 years.
Simão Pedro lost his mandate in July this year, when TRE-SP rejected an action that suspended his departure from office because of gender quota fraud committed by Pros and PTB, parties now extinct, in the 2022 election.
Although no representative of the acronyms was elected to Alesp, the votes of the two parties were annulled and the total number of valid votes (which exclude blank and invalid votes) was changed, modifying the electoral quotient and, consequently, the result of the elections.

After the decision, Simão lost his mandate and Camila Godoi () as state deputy.
