In the first agenda after the meeting with the president of , the president (PT) stated that the country does not want a dispute over who is on the side of the Americans or on the side of . The declaration took place this Sunday (26), during a forum of Malaysian and Brazilian businesspeople.

“We don’t want a new dispute over who is on the side of the United States or on the side of China. We want to be on the side of China, on the side of the United States, on the side of Malaysia, on the side of Indonesia, on the side of all the countries in the world that want to do business with us”, said Lula.

In the meeting with Malaysian businesspeople, Lula said he has “open arms” to the Asian country and called on investors to visit Brazil. He also said that Brazil is experiencing an “auspicious moment” in its economy, with growth above the average of other countries in the world. According to him, the role of the Chief Executive is to guarantee the opening of businesses in a competitive global scenario.

“We should guarantee foreign investors fiscal stability, economic stability, political stability, legal stability, social stability and, finally, we should guarantee predictability in the government’s political decisions so that no one is caught in the cold,” said Lula.

Lula also said that Brazilian businesspeople should travel to Malaysia and made a comparison between businesspeople who travel and others who stay in the country “complaining about the interest rate”.

“There are two types of businesspeople in Brazil: those who like to travel, those who like to look for opportunities, those who want to sell and buy, and there are those who stay in Brazil just complaining about the interest rate and taxation. Those who mine and travel in search of opportunities will win,” declared Lula.
