The new series “It: Welcome to Derry” premieres on the HBO Max streaming service this Sunday night (26). In total, there will be eight episodes, which focus on Pennywise the clown origin story.
A, more than two decades before the events portrayed in the adaptation of the author’s classic work Stephen King, “It – A Coisa” (2017).
Stephen King himself shared his first impressions of the new production on social media. “‘It: Welcome to Derry’ is incredible. The first episode is terrifying,” the author wrote.
The Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård returns as the iconic character after playing the clown in the cinema.
The cast of the series also includes Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe e Rudy Mancuso.
The episodes will be released weekly on Sundays, in prime time on HBO channels at 10 pm, and will be available on HBO Max shortly after airing on TV. On social media, streaming only remained mysterious about the date of the second episode. Some fans theorize about it being brought forward to premiere on Friday (31), Halloween.

The universe of “It” is based on the work of the same name by renowned horror author Stephen King. In the story, a group of children come together to investigate the mysterious disappearance of several young people in their town. They discover that the culprit is Pennywise, a cruel clown who feeds on their fears and whose violence originated several centuries ago.
