Luiz Henrique, 44 years old, was arrested in the act last Saturday night (25), in Cruzeiro do Sul, in the interior of Acre. Preventive detention was ordered because he was the main suspect in the murder of Maria Luceleide, 57 years old.

According to delegate Marcílio Laurentino, responsible for the case, the man confessed to the crime during a statement given on the same day. The request for preventive detention was prepared by the police authority and accepted by the Court.
The Civil Police reported that the case has now been completely elucidated. “This case has already been clarified. Now it’s just a matter of gathering the crime and cadaver reports”, said the delegate.

This is the 11th femicide recorded in Acre in 2025. Maria Luceleide was stabbed to death, and the main suspect is her partner, who was located and arrested after searches in the region where the crime occurred.
In addition to being accused of murdering his partner, Luiz Henrique also tried to hurt the victim’s daughter, who tried to intervene to defend her mother.
The crime took place in a forested area in the Remanso neighborhood, during an argument between the couple. The fight continued inside the bedroom, where the attacker applied a “rear naked choke”, trying to asphyxiate the victim, and then stabbed him several times with a knife, causing his death.
Maria Luceleide died at the scene, before the arrival of the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). The suspect was found by the Military Police after fleeing into a wooded area.
