The minister informed that the sending of experts is the first result of the emergency office to combat organized crime in Rio de Janeiro, announced on Wednesday (29), at the Guanabara Palace. According to the federal government, the experts will work on analysis of crime scenes, ballistics, forensic genetics for DNA identification, forensic medicine, ballistics tests, necropsy and identification of bodies. In addition to them, the government announced that it will also mobilize 10 to 20 experts from the National Public Security Force to work in the state.

According to Lewandowski, the number of experts can be increased according to need. “We had the idea of ​​creating this extraordinary office to combat organized crime to speed up communication between federal and state security forces,” stated the minister.

The purpose of the integrated office, according to the minister, is to be a forum where forces will talk to each other to make decisions quickly until the crisis is overcome. “This is the embryo of what we want to create with the Public Security PEC that is being discussed in the ”.
