A PCSP (São Paulo Civil Police) arrested a couple suspected of running a network of cyber and sexual crimes that victimized at least 11 peopleincluding teenagers.

According to the DHPP, the crimes constitute rape of a vulnerable person in a virtual environment, extortion, child pornography and invasion of a computer device.
Investigations also discovered that the couple carried out “fake lawyer” scams in states in the Northeast, using false documents and registrations to obtain banking and personal information from other victims.
According to PCESP, the group had operated in a structured manner since 2022, moving money and victim data in different regions of the country.
In a statement, the DHPP (Department of Homicide and Personal Protection) stated that the “Scam Models” operation represents an advance in the fight against cyber, sexual and property crimes committed against children, adolescents and women, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to confronting criminal organizations that use technology to violate rights and destroy lives.
