Caixa Econômica Federal starts this Saturday (1st) sales to the Mega da Virada 2025, traditional year-end draw held on December 31st.

Award
This year’s edition promises to pay a premium of R$850 million.
SPA/MF Ordinance number 1,656, published by the Ministry of Finance, increased the percentage for those who correctly matched the six dozen 62% to 90% of the total prize pool, which allows the amount of the main prize to reach billions of dollars.

As usual in special competitions, the main prize of Mega da Virada does not accumulate. Therefore, if there are no winners in the 1st range of 6 numbers, the prize will be divided between the winners from the 2nd range of 5 numbers and so on, according to the rules of the modality.
The biggest prize so far was paid in the 2024 edition, when eight bets shared more than R$635 million.
Deadlines
As previously mentioned, sales start this Saturday (1st). Lottery houses and applications will receive bets until December 31st, the day on which the draw takes place.
From Monday (3), bettors will be able to place bets until 8:30 pm, one hour later than the usual limit.
Values
The value of a simple bet, with six numbers, costs R$ 6.
To participate in a pool, that is, place bets in a group, it is possible to purchase shares organized by lottery companies, which may incur an additional service charge.
It is also possible to purchase shares through the Loterias Caixa portal or application. When the pool is organized by the bettor himself, there is no service fee charged. Just fill in the appropriate field on the steering wheel or ask the lottery attendant.
In Mega-Sena, it is possible to make a pool of at least 2 and a maximum of 100 odds, with up to 10 bets per receipt.
In the case of a pool with more than one bet, all of them must contain the same number of prediction numbers.

As previously mentioned, this is the biggest prize in the history of Lotteries and 33% higher than the amount paid in last year’s edition.
Caixa made changes to the Mega da Virada rules in August this year. Now, whoever gets the 6 tens could win a historic prize, of up to R$ 1 billiondepending on the success of the fundraising.
The other news is that, from the next Mondayo time to place Mega da Virada bets will be expanded. Players now have an extra hour to purchase the prizes through the Loterias CAIXA app or portal, until 8:30 pm.
