The player had three activities before the clash with Fortaleza, which can be considered a short transition period. Peixe and the player’s private staff are in no rush to have him on the field again, and did not wish to take any risks.
However, according to “ge.globo”, Neymar went against the guidelines and even the planning of his own staff to return to Santos this Saturday. The plan called for another week of training, with physical transition and work with the ball, for Neymar to return to 100%, or close to it, on the 9th against Flamengo, at Maracanã.

When was Neymar’s last game for Santos?
Neymar has not entered the field since the 1-1 draw with Atlético-MG, on September 14th. He has been undergoing treatment since September 18th. The number 10 was injured in training at CT Rei Pelé.
This is Neymar’s third muscle problem this season. Neymar underwent a repair to rupture the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee in October 2023 and, since his return to football, a year later, he has been dealing with other injuries and pain that have prevented him from taking off at Santos, his home since January.
