The project, now turned into law, creates a permanent model of cooperation between the Union, states and municipalities, guaranteeing integrated planning, shared responsibility, continuous monitoring of school trajectories and mechanisms to reduce educational inequalities.
“It is an achievement that greatly honors me. In my first term, we now have a structuring law to guide Brazilian education for the coming years. The SNE means more equity, quality and federative coordination to ensure that each student has the necessary conditions to learn and prosper,” said Socorro Neri.
Public management framework for the country
The new law strengthens the National Education Plan (PNE) as a strategic reference and regulates formal spaces for agreement and monitoring, integrating data, improving financing and valuing education professionals.
The deputy also highlighted the weight of this achievement for regions that most need structural support:
“For Acre and the Amazon, it means greater coordination, technical support and educational policies that are more in line with our territorial realities. It is development with equity.”
The SNE institution fulfills a historic mission provided for in the Constitution and defended for decades by educators, researchers and sector entities.
With the sanction, the system will be implemented under the coordination of the Ministry of Education, respecting federative autonomy and strengthening collaboration between public entities.
