The controversies surrounding the “Tremembé” series recently gained new chapters. With the debut of the series that talks, for example, about the history of criminals such as the Cravinhos brothers, Suzane von Richtofen and Elize Matsunaga, some involved started to deny or reaffirm what is presented in the plot.
After Cristian Cravinhos claimed that the series was a “lie”, Ricardo de Freitas Nascimento, who is called Duda in the series, reaffirmed that the relationship with the former prisoner is true.

Regarding the statements, Ricardo said: “It’s not easy for him, he’s straight. His world is different, of course he won’t admit that he had an affair with a gay man inside the unit. But he did, and I can prove it. But I have letters, I have panties, people inside who prove it, and people out here, we were in therapy with the same psychologist, my mother who he talked to, the prisoners he talked to, everyone knew about our relationship.”
When asked if his ex-partner was “cute like in the series”, Duda told some supposed memories of what he experienced during the romance. “Cristian was incredible to me, there was nothing I wanted there that he wouldn’t do for me. It was everything. Cristian and Daniel were very respected there.”
“I only used soaps from Boticário and Natura, I didn’t use those other soaps, Cristian went around collecting from the entire chain, he bought all the branded soaps he had from the entire chain and made a giant heart on my bed of soaps and rose petals. They missed the opportunity (to do it in the series). He did a lot of incredible things, just like I did too.”
“Daniel didn’t believe it. He said ‘outside people don’t do that and you do it here, you’re from another world'”, he continued. He also recalled that at the time, his boyfriend stopped visiting him after discovering that he was having an affair in prison. After his departure, which is portrayed in the plot, Ricardo says that Cristian had visited him on a night out, the last time they saw each other.
Ricardo corroborated what was presented in the series, that because he was the son of a military police officer, he was able to serve his sentence for armed robbery in Tremembé. “There are several benefits to being in Tremembé, it is a special prison, there are two per cell, there was a 21-inch television, there was a radio, the treatment was humanized.”
With the repercussion of the series, Ricardo revealed that he sent a message to Cristian on his social networks. Regarding remuneration, he says he did not receive any value for the production, which was based on the books by Ulysses Campbell.
Throughout the five episodes, “Tremembé” recalls, for example, the crime of Richthofen and the Cravinhos brothers and portrays their life in prison. Cristian Cravinhos stands out with a romance with another prisoner.
“Tremembé” is based on the true crime books “Elize Matsunaga: The woman who dismembered her husband” and “Suzane: murderer and manipulator”, written by journalist Ullisses Campbell, who also wrote the script alongside Vera Egypt, Juliana Rosenthal, Thays Berbe and Maria Isabel Iorio. The production is directed by Vera Egypt.
The series is available on the Prime Video streaming service.
