Do it before makeup. Otherwise, you will worsen your skin and irritate your eyes

If we want to apply perfect makeup, we must remember that its appearance and durability are influenced not only by the selection of cosmetics, but also by the condition of the skin. Therefore, before we start applying make-up, we must take a certain step that is of great importance. Thanks to it, we will achieve a much better effect.

Before we start applying our makeup, we need to do one very important thing. Namely, it’s about ensuring the cleanliness of the tools we use to apply it. Therefore, you should take care of all kinds of brushes, sponges and even mascara brushes. They must be washed regularly to keep our skin in good condition and our makeup to look great.

Using dirty accessories will not only worsen the appearance of your make-up, but will also expose your skin to irritation. This is because contaminated brushes, sponges and toothbrushes are a real breeding ground for bacteria. Every day they accumulate cosmetic residues, as well as sebum, dust and dead skin cells. All this will cause irritation and skin problems.

What’s worse, Uncleaned makeup tools may lead to infections. They often cause allergies and tearing and worsen acne. Therefore, you should ensure that you wash the accessories systematically. Thanks to this, we will take care of the skin and ensure that the cosmetics are distributed evenly and do not create streaks or stains. It will also help to increase the durability of your makeup.

Washing our makeup accessories should become part of our everyday life. Sponges are best after each use, because we apply cosmetics in liquid form with them. In turn, we must clean our brushes at least once a week. The exception are brushes used for foundation or liquid blush, because they need to be cleaned much more often.

Wanting to do this we need to apply a small amount of antibacterial soap or mild shampoo to the damp brush bristles. Gently massage the product into the bristles and rinse under running water, avoiding wetting the brush handle. It is also worth investing in a special mat for cleaning brushes, which will help remove dirt even better. After washing, gently squeeze out excess water and dry the brushes in a lying position, e.g. on a paper towel.

However, we rinse makeup sponges under running water and also apply soap or shampoo to them. Massage in and rinse the product thoroughly. It is important to rinse the sponge until the water coming out of it is clean. Then we squeeze it on a paper towel to get rid of excess water. When it comes to mascara brushes, it is worth washing them not after every use, but at least 2-3 times a month. Just rinse them with warm water and dry them with a paper towel.
