The Portuguese are increasingly gambling online and many are not even aware that they are doing so on illegal websites. A study reveals that almost 40% of players use unlicensed platforms, being especially young people who use these sites.
They play on their cell phone or computer,post on sports, virtual casinos or roulette and many without knowing that they are breaking the law.
“There is a significant percentage of bettors who are not aware that they are betting on illegal platforms”, says Ricardo Domingues, president of the Portuguese Association of Betting and Online Games (APAJO)
