This Friday (7), the start of the weekend of the traditional São Paulo GP 2025 took place, taking place at the Autódromo de Interlagos. After the only free training available for drivers and teams, at 3:30 pm there will be qualifying training for the sprint race, a reduced event that takes place on Saturdays. The broadcast will be from Band, BandSports and F1TV.
This is the preparation for the fifth sprint race of the season, which changes the format of the weekend.
Sprint races have a maximum duration of 100km, do not require pit stops and are worth points towards the championship. The first eight are awarded: the winner receives eight points; the second, seven, and the sequence ends in eighth place, with one point. This will be the fifth consecutive sprint stage at Interlagos.
Interlagos has four different sprint winners in the four editions: Valtteri Bottas (2021), George Russell (2022), Max Verstappen (2023) and Lando Norris (2024).
