American rapper Kendrick Lamar was the highlight among the nominees for the , announced this Friday (7). Considered the “Oscar of Music”, the award will have its ceremony on February 1st of next year, in Los Angeles, and has Lamar as the leader of nominations — nine in total. Among the most mentioned names are also Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny and Sabrina Carpenter, all nominated in multiple categories. Puerto Rican Bad Bunny made history by becoming the first artist to sing in Spanish to be nominated in the main award categories, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year, with the album Debí Taras Fotos.

Brazil also appears in the dispute. and compete in the Best Global Music Album category with the work Caetano e Bethânia ao Vivo, which celebrates the brothers’ partnership in a highly successful record.

In the Record of the Year category, in addition to Bad Bunny, names such as Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Rose (from the K-pop group BLACKPINK, in partnership with Bruno Mars) and Sabrina Carpenter, who opened Taylor Swift’s tour in Brazil in 2023, appear.
