The actor Jacob Elordi28, stars in the new Netflix production “Frankenstein“, new film by the director Guillermo del Toro that recreates terror. In a video published on Instagram, the artist appears doing makeup to play the character.

The actor arrived at 10pm at the makeup trailer to get ready for the . It had 42 prosthetics, 14 of which were just for the actor’s head and neck. At the end of recording, it took the team 90 minutes to remove the , and the actor used an inflatable sauna to help loosen and detach them from the body.
Elordi won the role after the actor Andrew Garfield quit the project before filming began, in March 2024, when he claimed scheduling conflicts. For the vehicle, the actor also mentions that he arrived at the makeup trailer at 10pm, staying up all night while undergoing the transformation, “whose body is a fusion of limbs and organs from different corpses”.
The film, rated at Oscar 2026, arrived on the Netflix streaming platform last Friday (7). For del Toro, the film is the realization of an old dream: his first contact with the story was as a child, in Mexico. According to him, the Frankenstein’s monster is his saint patron. “Mary Shelley’s creation accompanies me throughout my life. Even though it’s my Bible, I wanted to appropriate the story, tell it in a different tone, with another emotion”, says the director.
