Worker faints and is left hanging on the 9th floor of a building during maintenance

A worker experienced moments of despair when he passed out and was left hanging by his seat belt on the 9th floor of a building located on Rua Minas Gerais, in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, last Monday afternoon (10/11).

Images recorded by witnesses show the moment in which the worker remains motionless, hanging outside the building. Before rescue teams arrived, residents and employees of the condominium managed to rescue the man.

The accident happened around 3pm, in the Boqueirão neighborhood. According to the Fire Department, the man was doing maintenance work on the facade of the building when he fell ill and lost consciousness, being suspended by the safety equipment.

According to the corporation, he was evaluated by rescuers and treated by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which sent him to the region’s emergency room. The victim’s health status was not reported until the publication of this report.
