More than 400,000 people in Thailand have been evacuated from their homes as a border conflict flares up again between Thailand and Cambodia. This was reported by the AFP agency on Wednesday with reference to the Thai Ministry of Defense.
“Civilians had to leave their homes in large numbers due to the immediate threat to their safety. More than 400,000 people have been evacuated to safe locations in seven provinces,” Defense Ministry spokesman Surasant Kongsiri told reporters at a briefing.
