The deputy (-SP) said he received “with regret” the government’s decision to remove the minister, from the (Supreme Federal Court), from the list of those sanctioned based on the Magnitsky Law.

“We sincerely hope that the president’s decision will be successful in defending the strategic interests of the Americans, as is his duty. As for us, we will continue working, firmly and resolutely, to find a path that allows the liberation of our country, in the time necessary and despite the adverse circumstances”, wrote Eduardo.

Moraes had been sanctioned by the Trump administration on July 30.
In addition to Moraes, the American government also removed the magistrate’s wife, Viviane Barci, from the Ofac (Foreign Asset Control Office) list of the Treasury Department.
