Hong Kong – Hong Kong’s oldest pro-democracy and anti-Beijing party has announced its dissolution. “As a group, I think we can assume that the work of the Democratic Party ends today,” Lo Kin Hei, chairman of the Democratic Party, which was founded in 1994, said on Sunday after an annual meeting. “We are deeply grateful to all citizens who have supported the Democratic Party over the past 30 years,” he emphasized.
