The PF () indicted this Wednesday (11) three more military personnel on suspicion of involvement in the 2022 coup plot that aimed to prevent the inauguration of President Lula (PT).

An analysis of the location of telephone data by the PF identified that devices linked to the codename were close to the soldier’s residence in Goiânia.
In his statement, Azevedo stated that the device was found in a room at Copesp (Special Operations Command) and that he had used it without knowing its previous use.
Reserve lieutenant Portella, in turn, appears in the PF’s final report on the coup plot as one of the interlocutors of the protesters who called for a coup d’état with the Bolsonaro government. He is a substitute for Senator Tereza Cristina (-MS), who was Minister of Agriculture during the former president’s administration.
According to the PF, four days after the coup acts of January 8, Portella sent a message to Mauro Cid, Bolsonaro’s former aide-de-camp, in which he stated that he would return “the share” of a staff member. According to the PF, the substitute was referring to returning money to the protesters.
Portela would use the code name “churrasco” in conversations with Cid to refer to the coup. In a dialogue with the then aide-de-camp, he stated that the financiers were demanding the implementation of the “institutional rupture”, called “collaboration of the flesh” in the messages.
According to PF investigators, Portella is a close friend of Bolsonaro, and they both served together in the Army in Nioaque (MS) in 1970. Investigations indicate that he visited the Palácio da Alvorada at least 13 times in December 2022.

Colonel Reginaldo Vieira de Abreu, then chief of staff to retired general Mário Fernandes, also arrested in the Countercoup operation, is named by the PF as suspected of spreading disinformation about the electoral system.
