On the same Friday, however, the Tax Crimes and Criminal Organizations Court determined, in an action that is being processed under secrecy, the suspension of Transwolff’s activities, under the justification of avoiding the group’s rearticulation, even after the expiry decree.
“We will reverse it in Court. On the same day, after this decision given without hearing the city hall, and which we will reverse in Court, another decision in the criminal sphere guarantees that there is no chance of Transwolff returning to the system”, Nunes told the Panel.
Transwolff said, in a note, that it did not receive any notification about the decision in the criminal sphere.
Before the expiry, the company had already suffered from municipal intervention since April 2024. SPTrans, the municipal company that manages the , took over the operations of Transwolff, which serves 133 lines and almost 555 thousand passengers per day.
Regarding the injunction that suspends the forfeiture, Transwolff stated that it meets the principle of risk of irreversible damage. He also said that the Nunes management is prohibited from hiring other companies in Transwolff’s operational lots and will have to return the concession.
“Transwolff clarifies that there is no basis in the allegations of an alleged relationship between the company or its representatives with illicit activities” states the concessionaire. “The company vehemently repudiates any attempt to associate with criminal organizations.”
