Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was transferred, this Wednesday morning (24), from the PF Superintendence (Federal Police), in Brasília, to the DF Star hospital, where he will undergo surgery for a bilateral inguinal hernia. This is the first time that the former president has left PF facilities since his arrest on November 22 last year.

The convoy with Bolsonaro left the Federal Police headquarters at around 9:30 am and made a quick journey to the hospital, located in the southern region of the federal capital. The movement was escorted by the Military Police, who helped with the security of the movement, while PF agents monitored the entire process.

At the hospital, the former president will be admitted to one of the other patients, following the institution’s standard protocol for people in custody. According to the determination of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), security during hospitalization will be carried out by Federal Police agents.

Bolsonaro will carry out pre-operative exams in preparation for the , which is scheduled to take place this Thursday (25). The medical team that has accompanied the former president since the attack he suffered in 2018 will arrive in Brasília in the early afternoon of this Wednesday (24) to monitor the entire procedure.
