When Michael Bublé raises his smooth baritone voice and warmly but powerfully sings “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” into the microphone, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up – not out of delight, but out of sheer horror. But that’s not the fault of the British singer. Even on Bing Crosby or Brenda Lee – not to mention Wham! and Mariah Carey – I react physically.
