A male white-tailed deer has a few tips and tricks to attract attention during the rutting season. He tears off the tree bark with his antlers and rubs his forehead glands on the tree. He then scratches a hole in the ground and urinates into it. In doing so, he asserts his dominance and makes it clear that he is looking for a partner.
