Former PRF director () Silvinei Vasques tried to board a flight to El Salvador using a Paraguayan passport issued in the name of Julio Eduardo.
He had been imprisoned for six months by the First Panel of the (Supreme Federal Court) as a participant in one of the cores of the government’s (PL) coup plot.
Silvinei was arrested at Asunción airport when he tried to board an international flight. He reportedly broke the electronic ankle bracelet in Santa Catarina, and the suspicion is that he went by car to Paraguay.
Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the (Supreme Federal Court), decreed the preventive detention of the former director of the PRF this Friday (26) after the electronic ankle bracelet broke.
In the decision, the minister said that he informed him of a failure in the defendant’s electronic monitoring. According to the PF, in the early hours of December 25, 2025, around 3 am, the equipment stopped transmitting the GPS signal. Around 1pm, the device lost a GPRS signal, possibly due to battery exhaustion.
At around 11pm, a team from the PF Regional Superintendence in Santa Catarina was called to investigate possible non-compliance with restrictive measures.
At the site, the team was received by the doormen, who authorized police access. They were informed that the Santa Catarina State Penal Service was at the scene, but no one responded. They also checked the parking space and found it empty. The team of federal police repeated the procedure and reached the same results.
From the images obtained from the CCTV system, it was possible to identify that Silvinei was using a vehicle in the name of the company Localiza, possibly rented.
It is possible to say, according to the decision, that he was there at least at 7:22 pm, on Christmas Eve (24), when he was no longer seen getting in or out of the car. In the images, Silvinei appears at 7:06 pm placing bags in the trunk of the car; a few minutes later, he brought more things to the back seat, loaded a dog and left the building.
