Actress Monika Hilmerová and choreographer and dancer Jaro Bekr belong to the most stable couples in our show business. They seem to be working beautifully together and have the recipe for a happy marriage. Both emphasize that open communication is the key, but equally essential is a sense of humor, which accompanies them throughout their lives.
The couple is raising two children together – Zara and Leonard. They built a house in the Austrian borderland, where they have lived for several years. The female Ginger (a breed of large Swiss mountain dog, editor’s note) is definitely part of their family. In March 2024, another dog of the same breed, Dante, joined them.
So they spent the Christmas holidays with their family, even though they were particularly difficult for Bekr, who announced on the second of June that his mother had died. He was very well aware that an important person would be missing at the Christmas dinner table. “We always have an extra set for one, so see you,” he bequeathed her to heaven even before the arrival of Christmas.
Apparently, they tried to lighten the difficult moment with humor, which they both love so much. This time they used an app that modified their faces to make them look like they had gained a few pounds. “Our first morning after the holidays…how about you?” Hilmerová wrote about their joint photo, which you can find in the gallery. They certainly had fun as a result.
