Eurico Castro Alves could not resist the pressure and asked to go out and commission what evaluate the realization of the health emergency plan.
The decision by the coordinator of the Emergency and Transformation Plan in Health, announced by , comes after a open letter delivered to president of the Medical Association.

The letter, with more than 600 subscribers, denounces “a regrettable accumulation of functions” and denounces a “conflict of interests and violations of the code of conduct”.

Fabian Figueiredo cites a case in Porto: the Emergency and Transformation Plan in Health, prepared by the doctor, recommends the delivery of 60 million euros to Hospital da Prelada – and Eurico Castro Alves joins the governing bodies from Misericórdia do Porto, which manages this hospital (in addition to some PSD staff).
“Eurico Castro Alves’ entire story is one of conflict of interests, of a lack of conditions to develop a public policy program because he himself has private interests. These are too many interests, too many conflicts of interest”, Fabian continued, before his departure was announced.
Even so, the doctor assures that there is a legal opinion that maintains that “there is no conflict of interest”.
And the president of the Medical Association, Carlos Cortes, guarantees that there would be “nothing illegal”, nor “formal conflict of interests” in this accumulation of functions. And he thinks there is “a campaign against Eurico Castro Alves”.
