Google () announced this Friday (13) the launch of Agentspace, an AI-powered virtual agent aimed at companies. The tool allows employees to search, draft content and automate tasks based on promptsthe commands sent to generative artificial intelligences.
According to the company, the tool can run on companies’ internal systems, which means it does not need to access the public cloud. This allows answers to be given based on confidential data without the risk of sharing.

Data from third-party systems such as Google Drive, Jira, Microsoft Sharepoint can be used to fuel the system. Through an interface, the user could interact with the information by doing simple searches, asking for document summaries or even suggestions for developing products.

“Our studies show that company employees use an average of four to six tools just to ask and answer a question. With Google Agentspace and NotebookLM Plus, we’re helping customers harness the power of generative AI to unlock new levels of employee productivity,” said Marcel Silva, head of AI sales for Latin America at Google Cloud.

The executive mentions NotebookLM because this was another of the new features released this Friday. The tool, already available to the public since 2023, now has a corporate version and for educational institutions. Named NotebookLM Plus, the new version will be available to Google Cloud customers.
It allows users to send documents and ask artificial intelligence to make summaries, provide insights and interact with data in different formats. The answers can, for example, come in text or audio.
The solution subscription can also be purchased separately through Google Cloud and will be available on Google One AI Premium in 2025.
