Winter doesn’t let up. Practically, they only focus on snowfall and freezing cold. In recent days, several dozen degrees of frost have been recorded in many regions of Poland, and this is not the end. According to meteorologists, the winter weather will last at least until Tuesday. In many places this will mean heavy frost. In the north-east of the country, thermometers may even indicate -10 degrees Celsius. Snow will continue to fall heavily. There may also be freezing rain mid-week, which will make road conditions very difficult. A thaw is expected to come to Poland from Thursday, which will make the weather look more like autumn. According to forecasts, temperatures throughout the country will reach from 2 to 5 degrees Celsius. In the foothill areas it may be even warmer, and thermometers will reach up to 10 degrees Celsius.

When will spring come and will we have a long winter? Many people ask themselves this question. According to the first weather models, spring will surprise in 2026. Forecasters indicate that March 2026 may be warm and definitely above normal in terms of temperatures. In recent years, the average temperature in March has been 3.5 degrees Celsius. If the IMWM forecasts are true, we may expect a warm and quick spring. Unfortunately, there is also worse news. The same half models also indicate a higher average rainfall. This means that spring 2026 may be warm and rainy. Such weather will favor plant growth. Trees and bushes will green up faster and May mushrooms may appear in Polish forests.
It is worth remembering that long-term weather forecasts have a large margin of error. What forecasters say doesn’t always come true. More detailed forecasts should be postponed until the beginning of March 2026.
