Global tourism reached a new record in 2025 with around 1.52 billion international arrivals. The year 2024 was exceeded by a good four percent. France leads the ranking of most popular destinations (102 million international arrivals), followed by Spain and the United States, which maintain third place despite large declines. Austria remains unchanged in 13th place worldwide with just over 32 million arrivals.
