The minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Flávio Dino denied this Thursday, 29th, a lawsuit filed by the Brazilian Association of Traffic Psychology (Abrapsit) that questioned the automatic renewal of the National Driving License (CNH). The new rule, published by the government in December, does not require physical and mental fitness exams.
Dino did not analyze the merits of the request, but considered that the entity does not have legitimacy to propose the action. “Qualification as a class entity presupposes the representation of a homogeneous category.
Abrapsit brings together heterogeneous groups of members, including a professional supervisory board, a health plan manager, a medical clinic, civil associations with different institutional and private purposes”, stated the minister.
