Mega-Sena: how much does R$115 million yield in savings, Tesouro Direto or CDB

Mega-Sena is holding contest 2967 this Saturday (31), with an estimated prize pool of R$112 million.

At the request of CNN Brasil, Michael Viriato, strategist at Casa do Investidor, carried out a survey showing how much an application of the full value of the prize yields, considering the current level of the basic interest rate at 15%.

Savings continue to have the “lowest” return, both in the short and long term: in one month, the investment would yield just over R$764 thousand and, after one year, the gain would be R$9.3 million.

The best option would be in CDBs from medium-sized banks, considering a remuneration of 110% of the CDI.

In this case, the same R$115 million would yield R$1.1 million in just one month and R$15.5 million in one year.

The survey presents the gains in percentages and in reais from savings, Tesouro Direto (considered the post-fixed security, the Treasury Selic), CDBs and DI funds, which follow the CDI and the Selic rate.

The accounts already consider net income, that is, deducted from the Income Tax that is levied on the gains. Only savings are free of charge.

The simulation considers a management fee of 0.5% for DI funds and 0.2% for Treasury Selic, although the charge varies between funds and brokers.

The Mega-Sena draw will be held at 9pm, at Espaço da Sorte, in São Paulo, and will be broadcast live on the company’s social networks. .
