Army mobilizes another 13 intervention teams to Tomar and Ferreira do Zêzere

Following the Kristin depression, which left a trail of destruction in several areas of the country, the Army has had an engineering detachment on the ground since Wednesday, mobilized to Ferreira do Zêzere, with the mission of clearing routes and roads.

This Saturday, the Army will mobilize another 13 intervention teams to the areas of Tomar and Ferreira do Zêzere, also maintaining all ongoing operations since Wednesday to respond to the crisis caused by bad weather.

In a note sent to Lusa, the Army spokesperson states that during today it is planned to mobilize seven intervention teams to Tomar and six intervention teams with chainsaws to Ferreira do Zêzere, district of Santarém, five generators are still in the mobilization phase.
