MMA fighter Gábor Boráros is going through one of the most difficult periods of his life. The mother of his daughter Zora and ex-fiancée Monika Jákliová tragically died in a traffic accident. The 31-year-old beauty had a funeral on Thursday, January 29. Three-year-old Zora did not attend the last farewell. Boráros spoke for the website about how his daughter copes.
Monika’s death is all the more difficult for him because his daughter was left without a mother. “She wasn’t my wife, she wasn’t my girlfriend anymore… Because we also have a daughter, that’s why it’s hard,” explained why losing his ex-fiancée is difficult for him.
He did not tell his daughter about Jákliová’s death right away. He wanted to consult an expert first. “As I said, I already had to explain so that she (Zora’s daughter, editor’s note) knew that mommy would never come again. But it’s still rough. A brutal task that every day… Zora said something else that she also has some memories of them playing, she is quite sad and I hear that every day“, he described difficult days.
He remembers her only in good terms. “But we know that mommy was the strongest in the world, how she loved her, she watched over her, that she would also watch, perceive, but she’s already up there. But he watches you every day and will watch you all your life, how smart you are,” he said words that tear the heart.
Gábor could hardly find words. “I’m sorry and… What… It won’t bring anything back,” he said with a broken voice. “I looked out for her when we were still together, but we haven’t been together for a long time and it seems like I was the only one who knew how to look out for her. That’s not my job anymore. Now I’ll just focus on Zora and look out for her, for sure, forever.” declared the wrestler.
As he said above, he is now focused only on his greatest treasure in life. “I have to be strong, I have to keep going, like always. I will do exactly that, because Zora needs me and I will endure it and I will do it. It doesn’t matter how hard it will be, I don’t care, I will be stronger and I will make it so that she is happy, that she has a good life and I will only focus on that. What happened remains so. I don’t want to deal with it at all, because anyway… It doesn’t make sense anymore,” added a devastated Boráros.
Jákliová died in the early morning on Wednesday, January 21, in an accident that occurred between Veľký Meder and Dolný Štál. Monika with the car for as yet unknown reasons in a curve, she went off the road to the right and hit a tree.
Law enforcement officers are working to clarify the accident. “The police, due to the continuing interest in the event that happened last Wednesday on the road between Dolný Stál and Veľký Meder, announce that intensively deals with the case from the first moment and solves it like a traffic accident,” they announced on the social network on Monday, January 26.
They also revealed the current status of the investigation. “As part of the investigation into the tragic event in which a 31-year-old female driver lost her life, the traffic police have so far carried out a number of necessary actions and thus ensured enough evidence leading to the fact that they continue to investigate the event as a traffic accident. So far, no illegal action by another person has been detected in connection with the event,” warned.
Considering the tragic dimension of the event and the pain of those closest to them, the investigators turned to the general public with an urgent appeal. “We ask the public not to spread unverified and misleading information in the online space, as it complicates the investigation of this tragic traffic accident, and also to consider the bereaved family,” added.
