On January 29, 2024, seven people were sitting in a car in which a family in Gaza City wanted to make their way to a hospital in the eastern part of the city. A couple with four children, plus a five-year-old niece: Hind Rajab. The car was shot at, four occupants died immediately, and later a fifteen-year-old cousin also died. Hind Rajab was now alone in a wreck, surrounded by six corpses, with war all around him. She picked up a phone, reached a relative, and a short time later she was connected to the Red Crescent’s emergency call center for the occupied territories.
