O Fluminense opened talks with Los Angeles FC to try to sign the striker Denis Bouanga31 years old. The Rio club formalized a proposal of 15 million dollars, a value that corresponds to around R$78.8 million at the current price, but is still discussing details related to the payment method with the North Americans. Initially, the Tricolor board had signaled an offer of around 12 million dollars, which was promptly rejected. The progress of negotiations now depends on a financial agreement that pleases MLS and the United States club. Recently, Los Angeles FC also rejected a 13 million dollar proposal made by Inter Miami.
Bouanga: playing style and numbers
Bouanga plays in different attacking positions. Although he stood out mainly on the left wing, he can also play centrally or on the right side. Born in France, he chose to play for the Gabon national team and began his career in French football, with spells at Lorient, Strasbourg and Saint-Étienne, before moving to the United States.
Since arriving in MLS, the striker has quickly established himself as one of the top names in the league. In total, he has 101 goals and 42 assists in 152 matches for Los Angeles FC and has been among the finalists for the MVP award in the last three seasons. Bouanga was decisive in the campaign that guaranteed the club’s place in the Club World Cup, scoring important goals in the playoffs against América de México and also in the draw against Flamengo, in the group stage of the FIFA tournament.
